Our Process

How the work actually happens

Five steps from the first call to launch, with what happens at each one and what we need from you.

  1. Step 01Discover

    Discover

Half an hour on what the business does, who buys from it, and what the site has to change.

    You get
A short written summary of what you told us, so we both know we heard the same thing.
    We need
Half an hour, and whoever makes the final call on the site.
  2. Step 02Plan

    Plan

Sitemap, page-by-page content plan and the performance and accessibility budgets, agreed in writing.

    You get
Sitemap, a page-by-page content plan, and the budgets we will hold the build to.
    We need
Sign-off on the plan, plus any copy, logos or brand rules you already have.
  3. Step 03Design

    Design

Layout, typography, color and motion drawn for your brand and delivered as a reusable system rather than flat mockups.

    You get
Layouts for every page type, a type and color system, and the motion rules that go with them.
    We need
One round of consolidated feedback rather than notes arriving over a fortnight.
  4. Step 04Build

    Build

Next.js and TypeScript, tested on real devices and against the budgets set in step two.

    You get
The site on a staging URL, tested on real devices against the budgets from step two.
    We need
A look through staging, and anything you spot that we did not.
  5. Step 05Launch

    Launch

Deployed with TLS, headers and analytics configured, the accounts in your name, and a walkthrough for your team.

    You get
Live on your domain with TLS, headers, redirects and analytics configured, accounts in your name.
    We need
Access to your domain registrar, and a launch date that suits you.
